Do you ever wonder why you matter? Do you wonder why you were created? Why do you exist and what purpose do you have in this world? I am sure by now you have figured out that life keeps moving along with or without you. Time doesn’t stand still when you get hurt or experience the pain of loss or rejection from someone you love. The world doesn’t stop to pay attention to you at any given moment, at least not most of us. Why were you born for such a time as this? Is it just random coincidence, or is there rhyme and reason for your here and now existence?

We have one shot at life right? One chance to make the good, the bad, and the ugly count for something. Life is hard, there is no doubt about that. Some have it harder than others, but everyone suffers the setbacks and kickbacks, and heartache that this world offers. Men, can you pinpoint a time in your life where you felt that you really mattered to someone significant? What was it about the way they made you feel that gave you significance? Can you articulate that? It is so important to process your emotions and your feelings and to get to know each of them like the back of your hand. Most of us men struggle with identifying what and why we are feeling something until it’s too late.

If I told you that you matter because you were created by God to really know Him and be known by Him what would you say or how does that make you feel? Your life has deep value and lasting value, you are not a number or a robot. Each of your emotions at a heart level matters to your Maker. There is great purpose in you bringing what you bring to the table. Don’t ever discount that. Hopefully, you can bring the right kind of love to the table and live in that place with your wife and kids if you are married, or your friends and family. I hope your heart gets inflated by love like a helium balloon and you can just soar like never before. I pray that the eyes of your heart are enlightened today to really know God and the depths of who He really is. What a journey!
